Biography of Laura Bryna

Since the release of her debut CD in 2008, Recording Artist Laura Bryna has emerged as one of music’s freshest talents. Titled Trying to Be Me – the album debuted following a national tour as the opening act for Clint Black. The launch of Trying to Be Me included an unprecedented marketing campaign at the famed Las Vegas Luxor Hotel’s LAX Nightclub. Since then, the CD has received public and critical acclaim, and has helped launch Bryna toward the career of her dreams.

In June 2008, the Air National Guard (ANG), which helps the country in times of national crisis, named Bryna the voice for their new advertising campaign. Bryna co-wrote and performs the song “Hometown Heroes,” which during the past year has been featured with the singer on national ANG radio and television spots. An advocate for the men and women who serve the country, Bryna – who makes appearances at ANG events around the country - was a natural choice for the campaign.

Bryna's road to the spotlight began as a young girl growing up in Mount Airy, MD. In high school, her talent was evident. She was tapped to join the Kennedy Center's Summer Drama Workshop, and then went on to graduate from Philadelphia's University of the Arts. Following college, Bryna packed up her car and headed to Nashville.

Today, Bryna is based in Los Angeles, where she is set to record her second album, one with a pop-rock sensibility. She has just signed on as a host with GoTV Networks newest music channel, "True Country" (www.truecountry.tv), an entertainment program that is viewable on the web and sent directly to mobile phones. She was recently named a celebrity spokesperson with the National Guard Youth Foundation, an organization combining Federal, State and Private Donations, that helps teenagers failing high school to get on track and live productive lives.

In August 2009, Bryna became an international recording artist when she was signed to a contract with Hamberg, Germany-based AGR Television Records, which will distribute Bryna’s CD through Universal Music Group.

Bryna’s personality is highlighted by a passion for clothing, hair and make-up. She’s found a kindred spirit in fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, and is often seen wearing his designs. She is also a fan of Miami, FL-based couture designer Claudio Milano, as well as designer J. Girard. She’s even a contributing Blogger with fashion E-Zine, Urban Darling. On the hair front, Bryna is a devotee of Joico products and counts on MAC Cosmetics to keep her make-up looking picture perfect.

Bryna is currently working on various television opportunities including developing a family-friendly animation project that combines music, the environment and children.

The performer, who is single, resides with her three birds: Tyler, a Congo African Grey; Harmony, a Senegal Parrot; and Snuggle, a Lesser Sulfur Crested Cockatoo.
