If you mention the Make-A-Wish Foundation to singer Laura Bryna, she is overcome by her emotions because of what the organization means to her.

"I believe in sharing the power of a wish," Bryna said, choked up about the foundation that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. "I have a real passion for the kids of Make-A-Wish. They're all my little shining stars."

"Make A Wish" is a superb song and it fulfils the promise Laura Bryna gave us a glimpse of on her debut.

This is heartbreaking stuff delivered with immense skill. Bryna doesn't over-do the emotion, but she doesn't kill the song by sounding unfeeling either.

Our one complaint is that the arrangement is unquestionably aimed at a crossover market, and that was unnecessary: the song would carry itself without the huge orchestra, because Bryna is a superb vocalist.

This one could become a theme tune for all those wonerful people who help childfren cope with the realities of cancer.
