Winners to Be Named July 4th in Contest Sponsored by Country Music Artist Laura Bryna, Southern Beauty Magazine & JOICO

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 22, 2009) – As the spokesperson and voice of the Air National Guard’s ad campaign, Laura Bryna has been meeting unsung hometown heroes all over the country who volunteer to protect and defend America’s freedom. Now she’s on a mission to find five “every day” civilian heroes through a national search contest being carried out with the help of Southern Beauty Magazine and JOICO Hair Care.
“The response to this has been sensational,” says Bryna. “We therefore decided to extend the deadline to enter to June 30th so that more people could nominate someone they consider an unsung hometown hero. There are thousands of such heroes out there doing amazing things every day and we want to honor a few special ones.”
America’s Search for ‘Hometown Heroes’ is the brainchild of Bryna, the petite brunette with the powerhouse vocals whose CD – ‘Trying to be Me’ – debuted in 2008, Southern Beauty, the national women’s beauty and lifestyle magazine now in its second year, and JOICO, one of the industry’s leading hair care brands.
