So we began our final day around 8 am. We had some delicious breakfast and got on the road. "We're going on a road trip!," our song for the trip. Grandpa wanted to get an early start, 'cause he wanted to show us the BBQ place, Black Bart's Steakhouse, that he got dinner from the night before. Mama said it was sooo yummy. Of course she got her favorite, bbq shrimp. Grandpa said it was a hoppin' joint. As we were driving along, we saw some really big, tall pine trees. I don't think we're in California yet! They have palm trees there, for us tropical babies. Hehe! Then we entered into the Kaibab National Forest, where they had lots of Black-Eyed Susans, which Mama said reminded her of home in Maryland. She said it's the state flower. What was really neat was when we passed Seligman, Mom saw an "S" on the side of the mountain for their hometown. Wow, we should do that in LA! Oops! They already have that there, Hollywood! The trees in Seligman look like yummy gum drops. Mom loves all that gummi stuff. Then we drove through Mojave County. As we were entering Kingman, we got caught in a lightning storm. It was a little scary, but we knew Grandpa would keep us safe. We drove over The Holy Moses Wash. Mama just got tickled and loved that. She said she needed a wash! We crossed over Walnut Creek and it didn't have a lot of water running through it. Hmm, that's when you know you're in the desert. Went through Yucca and it was so beautiful, it was like a postcard. Then we went over another wash, Buck Mountain. Lotta washin' goin' on around here! Passed through The Havasu Wildlife Refuge and then crossed over The Colorado River and into another one of our home states', California. So it's 104 degrees here! Little hot! We were going through inspection and we had to get rid of our grapes. Poo. Then they started questioning Mama and Grandpa about us. Little do they know how fabulous we are! Mama loves them grapes. We felt bad she had to get rid of them but we had to in order to get to our other home, The Pink Palace West. We started going through The California Desert Conservation Area, The Mojave Desert. So cool and so beautiful. We passed a really neat truck that was painted like the American Flag. Love that American pride! Then we passed the Mojave National Preserve and Mitchell Caverns. By this time we needed gas, and no, we did not stop at a Shell Station, we stopped at 76. It was the only thing around and Mama said we were gonna start running on fumes pretty soon. We all went potty and got some lunch at none other then, Dairy Queen. Us Babies, had our usual snacks, fruits, nuts, pellets, millet, and our favorite, Nutriberries. Got our gas and we were on our way! Went through Barstow and said goodbye to I-40 and jumped on I-15. Went through Hesperia, and Snuggles started to get antsy. She settled back down and got comfy on Mama's shoulder. Then we went through The San Bernadino National Forest. We got on the 10 and headed towards LA. Almost to our home! Passed through Ontario and Long Beach and got on the 101. Finally, Los Angeles! So that's what those palm trees look like! Of course, we've heard LA has a lot of traffic and what more welcoming than being in traffic on a Friday afternoon. Got on the infamous Sunset Boulevard and made some turns and headed into the our driveway at The Pink Palace West. WOW! Our new homes are amazing and so are our play stands. In fact, they have relatives carved into the base. Mama says we gotta have some snacks and get back on our routine. If you ever get a chance to go on a road trip, fly to the chance to do it. It's so nice to be able to spend time with the people and the babies who really love and care about you. We are so excited and really lucky to have such a great Mama and Grandpa. The trip was amazing, hilarious, and such a blast. "We're going on a road trip!"

We had our breakfast and got "on the road again." Grandpa showed us the Cadillac Ranch again, except it was morning with the pretty sun rising to the sky. We saw those big windmills spinning in the middle of the plains of Texas, aka Panhandle. Grandpa says they create lots of energy for the people in surrounding towns. We passed through San Jon. Then Grandpa and Mama wanted to see The Route 66 Monument, so we got off of Route 40 and got on the Old Route 66. It was like a ghost town there. Hardly anyone around. Probably because they closed that old road. It was so cool though. Mama got a picture of the monument and then we got some purple and green grapes and string cheese at Lowe's Grocery. What a cute store. Wish we could go in, but somebody might mistake us for some multi-colored chicken! People were walking in the store with their cowboy hats, gotta talk to Dr. Lutz (our doctor) and see if anyone has come up with some cowboy hats for us, babies. When we left, Mama got a picture of The Paradise Motel, which people were staying in. Looked like it had a real story to it. Then we headed towards Albuquerque (that's a really hard word to spell). As everyone was snacking on grapes, Mama, Grandpa, and us, other Babies, leave it to Snuggie, she had to take a little bite of cheese. She couldn't help it. But Mama said that Tyler and Harmony gave new meaning to Diana Krall's song, "Peel Me A Grape." Yummy to our tummy! Passed a shlew of Mama's favorite trucks, FedEx. We drove alongside the Rio Grande River and these beautiful rock formations. How does God do that? Passed Santa Rosa, Milagro, and then of course, we stopped at a Shell Station for gas. Mama got some turkey sandwiches at Subway for her and Grandpa, we had some fruits and nuts and then we headed west, passing signs for Santa Fe and onto Albuquerque. Saw some big long-horned steer, while passing the Turquoise Trail. Passed Laguna, went through Gallup, and crossed the Continental Divide. We saw lots of casinos and then we crossed into Arizona. We passed Fort Courage (love that name), and went through St. Johns. And it's lookin' pretty deserty out here. We passed by The Hubbell Trading Post. Went over Crazy Creek, how appropriate for this trip. Driving across country with Mama and Grandpa! This is Navajo Country. Drove by the Petrified Forest National Park. Then we went past these flat mountains Grandpa called,"buttes." Too funny! Mama then said we needed to wish on a passing truck of hay. Lots of luck! We're really lucky making this trip with our family, especially spending this time with Grandpa. While we were relaxing in our usual spots, Harmony on Grandpa's shoulder, Tyler on Grandpa's knee, and Snuggles on Mama's shoulder, the humans decided they HAD to have a Dairy Queen pronto. They needed sugar! They think we're crazy! Get a mirror! On our way to Flagstaff, Arizona, we passed Geronimo, and got our picture on the Old Route 66 and in front of The Jack Rabbit Trading Post. Crossed over the Little Colorado River and drove by Meteor City, where they have the World's Longest Map of The Old Route 66. Mama wanted to see the Meteor Crater National Park, but they wouldn't let us in. What do they know? We're tropical! Then we crossed over Canyon Diablo and noticed we were at 6000 feet elevation. That's high for those humans, not us! Went through Winona and passed Walnut Canyon National Park. There is so much to see! You need a day for each thing! So interesting! Now we're staying at The Residence Inn, another very "baby" friendly place," for some yummy snacks and bedtime. Mama and Grandpa got some BBQ and headed for bed. Snuggles had to borrow some dental floss, 'cause some of the Nutriberries got stuck in her beak! "Time for bed," says Tyler. Xoxo

Maybe Grandpa and Mommy could wear some different clothes! On Day 2, we started off in Arkansas and we got to see lots of brightly colored trucks and really tall billboards, that only us feathered folk can see! We also saw lots of American flags. Love that American pride! Then we headed into Oklahoma. So pretty there and the people were nice. We got gas at a Shell station again, guess Grandpa loves Shell gas, and we met two guys who were on their way back to Utah. Of course, they wanted a picture with us...and mom. Ya know, Grandpa and Mama keep that turkey jerky nearby for a good snack. But they're a little close to the cousin thing. Weird. Then we crossed over the Arkansas River, saw some windmills, AND drove along Route 66. That's one of Mommy's favorite songs and one of the first jazz tunes she ever learned! We traveled past Muskogee and Shawnee. Went through a lot of different nations, like Cherokee, Arapoho, Potawami, and Kickapoo (love that word). We love all this Indian history. It's so beautiful and interesting. We also stopped at The Cherokee Trading Post and Grandpa took our picture with Mom in front of the Indian, buffalo, two totem poles and a scenic mural. We passed Lucille's Gas Station on Old Route 66. Sooo cool! When we were stopped, Harmony got on the steering wheel, thinking maybe he was tired of Grandpa's driving. Grandpa laughed, took over, and then we headed to Oklahoma City. Lots of big buildings in that town! Soon after that, we grabbed some gas, AGAIN, at a Route 66 this time. Change of scenery in the gas department! Texas country! What a big place! Mom says she loves that southern hospitality. Then Mom and Grandpa stopped at a Dairy Queen in Amarillo, for a chocolate milkshake and a cherry limeade. Mmm, looked so yummy, but our Nutriberries are better. Another quick stop at Home Depot for some spray paint for the Cadillac Ranch. Grandpa sprayed Mama's name and Daddy on one of the cars. It was really cool. People kept coming up and wanting their picture taken with us and the cars. Two sights at one place! So funny! Grandpa decided we should stay in Amarillo for the night at The Country Inn and Suites. It's another place, like The Candlewood Inn, that allows us to stay with Mom in her room. We love those kind of places! Now we're in our Wingabagos in Mom's room having our snacks and heading for bed. Mommy's having some Chinese food from China Star and putting on all her face creams. Gotta wait til she's finished, for our bedtime hugs and kisses. Although, we may never get to bed. Just kidding! Pleasant...dreams, see ya in the…morning, love ya a whole big...bunch, from the bottom of my...heart. It's a call and response. That's what Mama says with Grandma every night, since she was born! Well, that's our bird's eye view today. Tomorrow, westward!

So "The Babies," as we are called, aka, Tyler, Harmony, and Snuggles, decided to take Grandpa and Mama on a road trip, and fly/drive west to Hollywood. We are on our way to our other house in Los Angeles, which we like to call, "The Pink Palace West,” cause it's pink on the outside and our Mommy's room is all pink. It's her favorite color, ya think! Well, we started off the trip at our original house, "The Pink Palace" in Nashville, Tennessee. We headed west on I-40 and saw some really fun things along the way. We drove through Jackson, TN and in Memphis, TN. We saw the pyramid or The Convention Center. We then crossed over The Mississippi River (that's a hard word to spell) and saw the big Arkansas sign. Then we stopped at a Shell station in Little Rock 'cause Grandpa said we need gas. We met some nice people there who wanted to get their picture taken with us, oh and Mommy too. So nice! Then we drove to Fort Smith, Arkansas for some yummy snacks and bedtime. Mama and Grandpa got some food from Outback, while we had our Nutriberries, pellets, nuts, millet, and fruit. And always water, gotta stay hydrated! Mama's always really good about giving us lots of water and snacks on road trips. We're spending the night at the Candlewood Inn in Fort Smith, Arkansas, AND we're in our new traveling homes, our Wingabagos. It's bedtime and we gotta get our beauty sleep. Big day ahead of us! Lots to see! Gotta make sure we show Grandpa and Mama the way! Who needs a GPS, when you got our sense of direction. South and West!

Hey Everybody! What an amazing month! We celebrated all the fabulous Daddys' out there, we interviewed some incredible country music artists during CMA Music Festival, we've been working a ton in the studio on the new music, and had a fun radio interview with "The Happiest Man" in Virginia, in other words, we've been pretty busy! And I totally love being busy doin' what I love. Definitely livin' the dream! Oh, and I joined the 21st Century with the Droid phone so now I'm officially high-tech! Hilarious! The Babies are still the cutest and now Tyler's imitating me on the phone. Adorable! I love summer, the flowers, the weather, the cookouts, vacations, and being outside with The Babies. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer too! It's always a great time to get away and visit friends and family. I can't believe The 4th of July is here! Time flies when you're having fun! Thank you to all the brave men and women in uniform for protecting us and our freedom. We love you and always appreciate all that you do. Enjoy your holiday weekend!
What a fun and busy month! Happy Mother's Day to all the fantastic mothers out there! I am so lucky I got to spend Mother's Day with my Mommy. We had a yummy brunch together and then she had to catch a flight back east. Poo! I miss her so much when we're not together in person. Then we made a trip to New York City and it was really successful. Great plays, lots of fabulous interviews and some really exciting projects coming up. Saw "Fences" with Denzel Washington and Viola Davis and "American Idiot." Loved 'em! Oh, and super fun, Barbara Streisand was sitting a few rows away from us when we saw "Fences." Now back in LA and I have been living in the studio working on the new music. Can't wait for y'all to hear it! Hoping to have it finished by the Fall. Memorial Day is coming up and I just love those men and women who have made our freedom possible. Love You All for what you do and for your bravery!
Hugs

So I am all about race car driving! I just went to my first Indy car race today or qualifying race. We were there with Dan Wheldon, from the Panther Racing Team and The National Guard Youth Foundation. Dan is sponsored by The National Guard and it was so nice of The Panther Racing Team to have me and some of the kids from The Sunburst Academy, the local Youth Challenge program, there to be apart of their big day. The Southern Los Angeles Representive, B.J. Lamothe and Congresswoman, Napolitano also came to the event and they spoke about how they achieved their dreams and if you work hard, you can too. What a wonderful treat to have them here today. So inspiring! There are so many people that go into making a race happen. Who knew? They make it look so easy and everybody's part is just as equally important as Dan, the race car driver. This was an exciting day and I definitely learned a lot. We also got to see a celebrity race. Brian Austin Green, Keanu Reeves, and many more were all racing for their favorite charity. I love that! Hmmm! Maybe I need a race car to win some money for my kids with The National Guard Youth Foundation. I'm gonna need a LOT of practice! HaHa! I can't wait for the next race!

Hey All! Hope everyone had a fabulous Easter, Passover, or whatever it may be that you celebrate during the Spring season. I love that the weather is warming up so the babies can go outside to play. They love playing and eating out on the deck. And speaking of the babies, have you seen the new Bulgari ad? It's Julianne Moore with two Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos. Of course, my mom thought they should have put Snuggles in the ad. "Snuggles would have been fabulous," she said. Hilarious! Snuggles, the diva! HeHe! Don't forget to take time to smell the roses! Love the Springtime flowers, not the allergies. Been in the studio working on the new music! I'm so excited for you all to hear it. Should be ready late summer! Well, back to the studio! Thank you all for always being there for me!
Love You All
